Countryview Kennels is the largest and most modern indoor/outdoor boarding facility in West Tennessee . We are located in Jackson , Tennessee , about one-half mile East of the McKellar-Sipes Regional Airport on Highway 70 West (The Brownsville Highway). Our slogan, “We Care About Your Pets” is taken very seriously by our staff, and you can be sure that when you leave your dog or cat with us they will be given loving, quality care.
Joe and Sierra Grumme, owners and operators of CountryView opened for business May 1988. CountryView started out with 56 indoor/outdoor runs for dogs and a 12 cat cattery. Since then there has been two additions adding retail space to the front office and a groom room in 1990 and 20 large runs in 1996. Our boarding capacity is now 150 dogs and 25 cats. We have just completed a renovation; come see our beautiful reception area.
Our business hours are 7 AM to 6 PM Monday through Saturday , and Noon to 6 PM on Sunday . We are closed to the public only for the days of New Years Day, Easter, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve and Christmas day.
Countryview Kennels is a member of the national professional boarding organization, the Pet Care Services Association. We are able to stay current with the advance of boarding technology and technique through PCSA conferences, newsletters, and networking. Joe (owner) and Amanda (manager) have achieved certification by the PCSA as Certified Kennel Operators ( CKO ). This certification requires rigorous study and classroom requirements leading up to both written and oral testing. Employees are encouraged to apply for and complete the requirements as Certified Pet Care Technicians.
Amanda is a graduate of the Jackson Area Chamber of Commerce's Leadership Jackson program and now takes her place among the most influential young people in the community.
We encourage first time boarders to visit the facility prior to the day you leave your pet. We are proud of our safe, clean and spacious pet quarters and ask that all new customers inspect the enclosure when leaving a pet for the first time.
